Excessive sweating can be hereditary

Sweating is a normal body reaction when your body is subjected to excessive heat, stress, hot weather or to some physiological stress. Sweating also called perspiration helps the body to stay cool in hot weather condition but excessive sweating is a medical problem and it is called Hyperhidrosis.

Medically Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is considered to be an inherited condition and it can affect the patient emotionally, socially and physically. When your body is subjected to hot weather, you can sweat excessively and humid climatic conditions are a very common cause of excessive sweating. Through sweating, your body excretes water, some minerals, urea, sodium chloride and lactate.

Underarm sweating is common to everybody until you sweat without getting any triggers. If your underarms sweat excessively without any external reason it is called axillary Hyperhidrosis. Excessive underarm sweating is a medical problem and it becomes worse when you also have an odor problem. Sweat is an odorless fluid and excessive sweating may not produce odor but if you are not keeping your armpits clean bacteria dwells in the body parts and it causes odor. To stop excessive sweating odor you may use deodorants or antiperspirants found in market. You can even contact a dermatologist to get an effective antiperspirant.
